Newars are culturally, religiously and traditionally rich community.
Their daily practices have both religious values with the topping of scientific facts embedded.
The morning of a Newa girl starts with dressing up well with all of her traditional attire and jewellery.
A handwoven drape "haakupatasi", followed with a handwoven dhaka chaubandi cholo as a top, layered with a cotton patuki, either white with a red boarder or black with a green boarder.
Traditional jewellery like "nyapushika" on the hair with braids made with "sachika" for her hairdo; "makanshi," the traditional earrings; beautiful neckpieces, "pyankha anguu" rings; and "kalli" the anklet defines her divine beauty. Their morning always starts with going to the temple daily worshiping for the well being, peace and prosperity of the people around them. Temple is the place that contains pure vibration of magnetic and electric fields of positive energy.
They not only worship God but also get the blessings of elderly people, as they are respected and valued top most in the family. A blessing from them is considered the most virtuous thing one can ever receive.
Newa culture, arts and crafts have always been magnificent to the world. The opulence of beautiful royal palaces, their exquisitely carved lattice windows and doors, marvelous wooden struts and temples bear witness to the excellent craftsmanship of the Malla era.
