Sabah Nepal- Dhaka-Fashion

My three years of working experience has been spent seeing hand loom dhaka all around me, designing  apparel, accessories and many more in dhaka. More I see all these beautiful dhaka. I fall more for it. There is doubt to say that I am madly in love with dhaka.

Artisan of sabah nepal, weaving at Byasi CFC
Nepali Dhaka is an exquisite cotton fabric hand woven in numerous colors with infinite and unlimited number of patterns. This traditional weaving is done on wood and bamboo treadle looms. The Nepali Dhaka is considered as a symbol of pride as it is interlinked with their culture to a very large extent and hence it is a representation and symbol of the Nepali culture.Every change of shed produces a different kind of weave.
It is truly an indigenous form of expression reflecting Nepali mastery of craftsmanship. It is an intricate art in the traditional hand weaving technique that has been practiced in Nepal for many generations.

SAARC Business Association of Home based workers (SABAH) is working to incorporate these traditional and intricate textile into modern contemporary fashion. Sabah provides various training and organizes different skill development programs to the home-based worker and ladies because of which they will directly be benefited financially and socially.
CFC of Sabah Nepal, Byasi Bhaktapur

Sabah has built a community facilitation center at different districts of Nepal and this is one of them at Byasi, Bhaktapur where very hardworking artisan- only women weave beautiful dhaka fabrics.

Fashion is never ending cycle, some are classic fashion and some are fad.
As dhaka is very unique and appealing, has the potential to make a mark in international fashion. This can be possible if new generation understand the essence of it and adapt dhaka into their fashion.Dhaka now can be worn in any occasion, in any style it will make you standout from the crowd

I am more into casual today with oversize denim jacket and black jeans, this look got total transformed after I changed my denim jacket with simple dhaka jacket with some patch work.

This red-black dhaka is so alluring to set your different style
This look gives you both casual and formal feel, if you are in some meeting, or in office it acts as formal and if you are chilling out with friends its more into casual.
