Sanepa to Thankot

Hello readers,

Hope all of you had a nice weekend.
This Saturday I was fortunate that I got time to spend with my huge lovely family. Actually we were planning to go to Chandragiri Hills, the most happening place for family to visit in Kathmandu which lies on the south-west side of Kathmandu Valley which is 2551 meters above sea level. But we changed our mind to visit up to the hill because of the over crowded queue of people just to reach the entrance. Therefore we just clicked some pictures out there and moved ahead to our new destination.

Then we rode to Pataleban Vineyard Resort, 6.5 km away from Chandragiri Hills, at an altitude of 1600m. above sea level. It covers an area of 2 hector facing north west at Chisapani Village, Baadbhanjyang VDC. 5, Kathmandu, Nepal. It is surrounded by a community forest known as Pataleban, have great views of sunset, the Himalayan range of Langtang, Ganesh, Manaslu, Annapurna and the Valley of Dhading.
Pataleban Vineyard Resort is a first project of its kind, the attraction is grape farming of different varieties. The technical supports are provided from the professor of Okayama University who has specialized in grape farming and some grape farmers of Okayama and Yamanashi prefecture of Japan. (from the website of resort)

It really is a cozy place to be in, greenery, landscape views, good ambiance inside, mouth watering food, friendly staff. It wasn't easy for us to be there at all, because of the traffic jam, un-constructed roads, dust and smoke all around.
I think decentralization is important than expanding roads which will ultimately decrease the ratio of migration in Kathmandu valley, which will lead to limited population, less number of vehicle, less traffic jams and ultimately no pollution. Fingers crossed.

"From Kalanki to Thankot and then to Pataleban Resort, our ride was full of thrill. way to our destination was welcoming us, the road were very silky and smooth it was feeling like a bird while riding a bike, fresh chilled air was hit our face, it was feeling heavenly to breathe in fresh oxygen and my hair was pampering in a shameless way with wind. it really was a wonderful ride." Uh... I hope these lines be in reality soon.
